If you’re here for individual or couples therapy, I imagine you’re feeling like something in your life just isn’t working. Maybe you’re not feeling as good as you think that you should, or you and your partner just can’t seem to get in sync sometimes.
Maybe you haven’t been feeling like the best version of yourself, or you’ve noticed you’re not feeling as much joy in your life as you think you should.
You might be noticing that you’re anxious, or more disconnected than you want to be. Sometimes that may even lead to comparing yourself or your relationship to others, wondering why you can’t seem to get it right.
These experiences can be overwhelming and exhausting.
It’s possible you’ve been going about your daily life with these feelings as an undercurrent, or that these feelings have made it difficult for you to even go about your daily life. You might know exactly where these feelings are coming from, whether it’s certain things in your life that aren’t working, a specific negative event, or even thoughts from your past. Or, maybe you haven’t been able to figure this out on your own and are feeling defeated. You might even know what needs to change, but that change feels scary, overwhelming, or even impossible.
If you relate to any of this, take a breath. You’ve got this!
Talking with a Mental Health Therapist can help you Shift Towards Healing, Growth, and Change
Our work together can give you the opportunity you’ve been hoping for to shift towards healing, growth, and change. Together, we’ll unpack, explore, and move through the stuck patterns, beliefs and feelings that you’re struggling with.
With respect, compassion, and a bit of humor (therapy can be a little fun, too), I’ll help you to find a deeper understanding of yourself. I believe that you have the ability to find what you need to feel authentically connected to the best version of yourself or your relationship. You can re-claim your life.
Through our work together, my clients typically start to feel a sense of relief. They allow themselves the opportunity to feel and express their thoughts and emotions, or to heal from their past. Over time, they may start identifying patterns in their relationship that are preventing connection or causing hurt or pain. Then they may allow themselves to begin to repair trust in themselves or their partnerships.
Whether participating individually, or with their partner, my clients usually begin engaging in their life and relationships in a way that feels more like the person they really want to be. They feel more in control, more secure, and more confident. The thoughts, feelings, and reactions that were getting them down at the start of our work together hold less power overtime. They begin to experience the life they truly want to live.
I believe you can experience the change you want in your life and find the most fulfilling version of yourself or your partnerships.
I can’t wait to see where you end up!
So what can you expect?
-
Before your first appointment, we’ll have a 10 to 15 minute consultation call. This consultation call serves as an opportunity for us to get to know each other and make sure we’re a good fit! I use this call to get a sense of what you’re wanting from therapy, and to discuss the services that I offer.
I invite you to use this call to ask any and all questions that you might have and to get a sense of if I feel like a good fit for you. If you don’t have any questions, no worries. I am happy to share about me, the services offered, and the most commonly asked logistical questions. If you decide at the end of this call that you’re ready to schedule, we will set up your first appointment.

At your first therapy appointment we’ll start with a brief review of some of the information from the forms you completed before session. Then, we’ll spend the majority of our time talking about you and your needs. You can probably expect to discuss the reasons you’ve decided to start therapy, history connected to this, along with your general history, so I can begin to get a sense of you or your relationship.
My hope for the first session is that you share what you’re comfortable sharing, we go at your pace (I’ll respect any boundaries that you set for yourself), and we all leave with a sense of what our work together will be.
At your first appointment, we’ll usually decide how frequently you want to be seen and set up our next appointment. From there, our early sessions are usually a continuation of me learning about you, your history, your needs, and goal setting.
It can take a few sessions for us to get into a good rhythm together, but with time you’ll usually begin to feel comfortable in our sessions and start to have some insights into possible avenues towards the change you’re seeking.
